About This Quote

People live for two reasons. There are those who live for the Soul; such people are very rare. All others live for money. All day is spent for money, money, money! Money is the root of all evil.

It's always been that way and it will always be that way. The love of money is the root of all evil. That's what the Bible says and I think we can all agree.

But do we really understand why we should not love money? The answer to this question lies in the ways we use our time and the things we do. If you spend your time and energy pursuing material things like money, cars, clothes, etc., then you're missing out on other things that you could be doing instead. If you're spending all your time chasing material things instead of spending it on family or friends or charity, then you're missing out on other things that you could be doing instead.

Those two points alone should tell us to not be so obsessed with money and materialism because there are better ways to spend our time and energy than chasing after them.
